Don Bausher just crashed past the finish line, ran 3.831@150.070 at the 8th mile and started to chine at the 132 and crashed. Don was transported to hospital as standard protocol and was said to be OK.

Don was checked out at the hospital, sat up in his bed and asked for a beer. At approx. 10 PM Texas time he had been released and was being driven back to the track.
