The Boeing Company will be the official community partner of this year's 2008 SAN DIEGO BAYFAIR

San Diego Bayfair, World Series of Powerboat Racing features the season finale of the ABRA Unlimited Hydroplane racing series on the Bill Muncey Memorial Hydroplane course on San Diego's beautiful Mission Bay . BAYFAIR also includes drag boat racing, offshore race boats, and many other classes of hydroplanes and powerboats along with military demonstrations and an on-shore community festival for nonstop entertainment throughout the weekend.

BAYFAIR proudly adds to its roster of events BOEING DAY on Friday, Sept. 19. All Boeing employees and the local community are invited to attend BAYFAIR free-of-charge, courtesy of Boeing. Additionally, all active duty military personnel will be admitted free throughout the three days of BAYFAIR events, also courtesy of Boeing.

Boeing joins a growing list of prestigious community sponsors and partners for the 2008 SAN DIEGO BAYFAIR.   As official community partner, Boeing will host beneficiaries of the Warrior Foundation's wounded warrior program, who will be honored during the event by leaders in government, military and local business.  The company's support also benefits county-wide programs that help foster-youth successfully transition to independent adult living through a partnership with South Bay Community Services, San Diego Youth and Community Services, and YMCA of San Diego's Youth and Family Services.

Race Marketing Partners LLC provides media, marketing and sponsor development support services for community events including the San Diego Bayfair.

San Diego Bayfair is organized by Race Marketing Partners LLC and Thunderboats Unlimited, Inc. , a non-profit corporation established by a group of committed Southern California racing enthusiasts, to promote powerboat racing in San Diego, and increase tourism in the beach area. The organization was founded by the late legendary hydroplane racer Bill Muncey, for whom the 2½ mile race course is named, and is now represented by individuals from all aspects of the community.

Charitable Partners include The Warrior Foundation, San Diego Air and Space Museum, and foster-youth transition programs at South Bay Community Services, San Diego Youth and Community Services, and YMCA of San Diego's Youth and Family Services.  

American Boat Racing Association (ABRA) is the sanctioning body of Unlimited Hydroplane Racing.  ABRA creates and operates a national Unlimited Hydroplane Racing Series.  The Board of Directors includes four (4) representatives from participating race sites, four (4) representatives from participating race teams, one (1) vice-chairperson that represents both a race site and race team, and one (1) chairperson of the board that is neither a race site representative nor a race team representative.
