It is with a heavy heart that I relay the news of the passing of Mick Connelly. Mick is the father of Tim Connelly, former SLDBA President and owner/driver of CRAZY TRAIN 269 TE.
 Mick could be seen at the races helping out but was best known for his cooking and Bar-B-Que skills at such events as the annual Connelly Daytona 500 Party, and New Athens workers dinner.
To see Mick without a set of tongs and a beer in his hand would never happen.
You will be sorely missed by all who had the honor of sharing time and words with you.

I just got back home after being on the road over 10 days, I am truely sorry to read this.
 
God Speed Mick and our condolence to the Connelly family.
