Coming out of turn one about 110 mph Steve Rawleigh’s super stock boat chined hard and crashed. Rescue was on the scene immediately and found Steve floating face down.   Steve was pronounce deceased soon afterwards. Steve was 51 and leaves behind 3 children. The two boys were at the race while their sister was back at the hotel during the race.

Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends.

This has been on my mind since I read this yesterday. Unfortunately it is the chance a racer takes.
My heart felt sorrow goes out to those left behind.
