I knew it wasn't Alabama express cause it was a kurtis not a deaver. It also has a Chevy in it so it is making me think its a bgh. Could it be in Michigan or Canada?

Ok I have to stand corrected, thinking back on this picture it was prior to running TAH and was still a PGH, to add to this one and a added triva guess... here is a hint Karl Petrik won the race in his PGH called...

| i think there was a Kurtis and a Deaver alabama express because Richard Shaver crashed the Kurtis and Jim Degroot owns the deaver if i am correct. |

Ok do you give...
This was the last USDBA race in Monroe, NC same lake were Roney Dew was killed a few years ealier. The boat is Tom Smiths Southern Thunder and Andy Hall also drove it when it ran TAH.
On his last run of the day he lost the prop on the start and Karl Petrik in Sundown won the race

| yea, he was the 1974 World Champion. Driver was Dick Phillips and the owner was Arnold Andreotti. That picture was taken at Lake Ming and Dick was clocked driving the Sanger at 146 mph
Wow, it only took 33 years to get another Champion boat in our home town of Colusa, CA.
