Yes John your correct Karl went from BGH to TFH when the capsule was mandated for the BGH class, I want to say 2002. I will pull out the old rule book to see which year tonight.

I look forward to seeing more pictures John. One of the things I liked and you still see are their t-shirts. Tina would never print the same t-shirt twice and you still see some of the orignal artwork at races today.

I am still digging through boxes to find the correct year but here is Karl and the Sundown TFH in LaGrange, GA at the last ADBA race there.

He sold the open boat to Joe and built a new boat for the capsule then crashed it in 93.

Karl built the new molds for the next fuel boat that he crashed (slow barrel roll) in St Louis in 96, we patched the boat and put the capsule back in it and then Tom Brasher totaled the same but in 99 in Chickasha, OK.

Karl and I built Joe the capsule he has in his fuel boat in 96.

THE ONLY REASON I QUESTION IT IS THAT IS A SCREW BLOWER ON THAT MOTOR AND A SMALL KURTIS, HE HAS ONLY RAN MID-SIZE KURTIS'S IN FUEL?

That last picture of sundown might be from 1992. I beat Carl at that La Grange race with a 187 MPH pass. It was a leg on the record at the time. It was before they mandated capsules, and I put a capsule in the following year. Carl had a disadvantage because he was running a capsule boat against open boats. Although he did have a screw blower:) I won the high points title in 92 but don't remember if that was the same year that we ran La Grange.
