I receive the following request from Chris Fanning seeking more info on the boat.

"it was a world record holder back in 68-72(130.06) .the boat # is361. the boat is a flat bottom sanger the name of the boat is challenger 2, we know that challenger 1 flip over eight time into pieces.the owner was Frank Trucco and it raced in oakland and turlock and mabey on commanche. well i was wondering if anyone had more info on this boat?"

I'm not normally "negative", but I highly doubt that boat ever went 130 MPH...  (it doesn't even have an adjustable cavitation plate)

Looks just like my '67 Sanger wooddecker however.  However mine, like most others, is set up as a left-side steer.  It will make a great ski-boat!!
