Group,
Here are more Photos from John Lang. These are of Huey Jones in Ambush, Bob Burns in Final Effort, Billy Vance in Nitro Warrior, Freedy Neely in Intimadator and What I think is an Blown Alcohol Hydro which I think s Final Effort BAH. We lost both Huey Jones and Dave Nolte of the Liberty Boat 22 years ago this month. It's hard to believe it's been so long. Thank you again to John Lang for allowing me to post these pictures.

Mr. Burns and I got a chuckle at each other after this warm up. Even though we were in front of the motor we both got a "snoot" full, and had tears running down our faces. I think you can classify that as "tears of joy". I always dig seeing that Padgett logo. John |

In the second picture, if you look closely you will see a couple of interested "spectators" in the background. I believe that is Richard Broome in the drivers seat and his daughter Angie on the left. Clay I am with you on the last one, I thought it looked like Bob Burns in the Final Effort BAH. Maybe someone can clarify. John |

John and Group, If you look closely in the picture of Nitro Warrior warming up, you can see Eddie and Ercie Hill watching the Nitro Warrior crew warm up their Keith Black Hemi. Clay |

CLAY IF YOU LOOK EVEN CLOSER IN THE PICTURES WITH BOB WARMING UP THE FUEL BOAT, YOU CAN SEE THE NITRO BANDIT AND THE NITRO BANDIT SWAT VAN, THOSE PICTURES ARE FROM OAK RIDGE TENN. IN 1984. DAD BROUGHT BRAD IN TO OAK RIDGE TO RUN BLOCKER EDDIE HAD TO GO OUT BY THE SEMIS AND WE HAD TO WIN THE EVENT TO WIN HIGH POINTS. WELL THE REST IS HISTORY BRAD BEAT EDDIE IN THE SEMIS AND WE WON THE RACE. |

Padgett,
Nitro Bandit was a bad hombre during it's day. I got to meet Brad last year at the Southern Nationals. We were there running A/Fuel and he was with Dexter's Top Fueler. He was areal nice guy. Wondered if the crew knew of his and Dexter's past exploits? Here's a couple Nitro Bandits cutouts from magazines I have in a scrap book.
