Guys,

John Lang sent me these pictures today of Eddie Hill. I'll post a few here today and more later. He also sent pictures of Final Effort, Ambush, Coors Light Silver Bullit, Freddy Nealy, Nitro Warrior and Sundown with a screw blower.

As a freind of mine put it, there is beauty in simplisity. Thats how he described Eddies boats in regards to flash and color. The second picture was one of many shots, note the header flames. It took a few continuos shots to get that one. But a couple of singed eyebrows was worth it. Ah the smell of NITRO. The third one I call MONSTER. I don't know about ya'll, but I would haul A$$ too with that thing chasing me. Thanks Clay.

Duane,

Thanks should go to John, I'm just helping post them. I really like the warm up shot also. The story on the brown boat is that it was an experiment that Eddie tried that didn't work out. The hull was laid up super lite and started to delaminate after only a few races. Hull was scrapped from what  Eddie said.

I really enjoyed the Gadsden race in those days. Great venue for spectators. It was on Memorial day each year. We took over a camp ground not too far from the marina. Good Times. The new venue is.....was good also. Sure hope someone comes up with something around there for next year.
