THATS EASY!!!! DEXTER TUTTLE IN THE FAR LANE IN THE NITRO EXPRESS. AND FRED FARNDON IN THE NEAR LANE AT THAT TIME THE BOAT CALLED THE FARNDON AND FOSS SPECIAL. NOTHING TURNS ME ON LIKE NITRO AND DIRTY STRIPPERS I LOVE THOSE STRIPPERS CAPSULES WHO NEEDS THEM

Padgett, You and Wardance are amazing. Correct- and I'm not sure, but is that at Red Bluff? Looks like the boat Dexter crashed racing Eddie Hill. Can you please post some photos of Final Effort? Geral Laney

its is hard to tell wich boat it is they all were painted the same. i dont think he was dangerous as everyone thinks. he just didnt lift. that was when fuel boat drivers are what i call "OUTLAWS" it take some big balls to hop in one of those and go 220 with the wind in your face. i would say it was red bluff NOTHING TURNS ME ON LIKE NITRO AND DIRTY STRIPPERS I LOVE THOSE STRIPPERS CAPSULES WHO NEEDS THEM

Does anyone recall a BFH or BFF named War Bonnet . I met a very nice guy at a trade show and we found we had a mutual interest in Drag Boats . He said he drove a boat called War Bonnet and I could remember the boat but not the name of the driver . I have his name but that would take the fun out of the question. Do any of you Drag Boaters know the drivers name ?

The "WAR BONNET" was owned by Jack Hardy. The only one that comes to my mind right now that drove it was Ron Ehde. It campaigned in the Unblown Gas Hydro class and was the NDBA Record holder in the early 70's. I think it was a Charger hull and was the boat that everyone wanted to put on the trailer. Very consistent, his top competitor at that time was Mac Christensen in the "CRUCIFIER". I do not recall the WAR BONNET running "BFH", possibly he stepped up the UnblownFuelHydro. I do have the shirt and somewhere I do have some great pics of Jimmy and Frank Dade (Smoke on Water) as well as Nitro Fever and Liberty (Dave Nolte) at Chowchilla. I'll start searching for them. My new " Its a Dell" just got here. What scanner should I get? Can't wait to get my old stuff converted to digital. Great shot of Wagner. I've got one on fire I'll post soon. He was racing Brad in Final Effort which did not start. Geral Laney

Greg all I can say is your eye sight is better than mine!!! lol Here is the large imgae and it does look like a g in the name but Pam did the photochop with Kyle in the picture 12 years ago that's when I put it on the first ADBA website.
