Whiskey River Crashed about 600' into the run, Mark is ok. Last word is he went over to Fiesta Islands medical tent for a routine check.

The boat is destroyed. Pictures can be seen here.

I'm glad Mark is okay. I talked to Phyllis Ermshar alittle while ago, and Mark is back at the trailer, and she is going to go and check on him.

Hey Brad,
Most likley pulled the chute to try and keep it straight.
How ya been? It has been a long time since I posted anything here. My daughter wanted to leave last nite for S.D. when I said the drag boats were runnin' in So. Cal.

Maybe, But I doubt it , actually this boat has a thing for dumping the laundry when she twist. Cables are on the fine line of being short because of the handle travel inside. Glad Mark is OK, Taked to Tommy B he called right after it happened, have not talked to Jay yet but I am pretty sure he is just sick right now.  Whiskey River team has had some hard knocks over the years, Rex's crash at Red Bluff was what brought it to a halt for me. I had a hard time seeing Traci and the boys go thru the accident from the shore, Little more then I could handle. I wish Jay and crew the best of luck.

Good to see the driver is ok. I was on the point opposite the back of the lane Whiskey River was in and shooting some pics as he lined up. He was actually over the far right of his lane as he lined up and when he let go of the rope across the lane to close his canopy the nose of the boat came around to the right and basically lined straight up with the buoys on the right side of his lane.

As he took off you could see him heading for the buoys and then everything dissapeared in a cloud of spray. Ouch.

Ned

P.S. Eddie & Tony Scarlata - Great to catch up with you guys today.

Mark is fine and will be very sore tomorrow, he was quoted as saying the boat left harder than he had experienced and that he should have lifted sooner but prided himself of driving a boat on the edge but this one bit him.

They recovered the bullet still attached to the rails along with the drives. The future of the team is unknown but Mark feels bad about it all and that the team has worked hard.

Tomorrow will begin at 10:10 with the start of the racing 30 minutes later. Second round will start around 2:10 and continue.

Racers are encourage to be at the in rap on time and to have crew member at the out ramp to help expidite the time used to get the boats off the water.

Best run today was by Kebin in Bad Habit with a time of 5.72@207

One PM did meet up with the wetlands today and the rized him about not pulling the chutes at the driver's meeting tonight.

The Race Report will begin tomorrow and can be read on the race report section from the home page or by going here:

wish we would get some national coverage without a crash through.

In an effort to pull out Greg's Loose Cannon boat that sank, Rescue 1 also sank. It is sitting under about 15 feet of water. Greg's boat has been pulled from the water and he is now on the line ready to make his first run of the day. Meanwhile Rescue 1 is underwater waiting to be pulled out by Rescue 2.

Is there a reason that there are no stats on the PM class in the race report section? Or did I miss something? Thanks.
