Hey Eddie, if the item(s) being displayed are anything like we saw in and around Jerry's boat at the Plum Crazy bar in Pacific Beach a few years back, count me in!  God bless college chicks, liquor and drag boats.  The combination made for some incredible memories, and a few blue ribbon photos that still get shown to the guys behind closed trailer doors.  In fact, if my fading memory serves me correctly, that was the same night that Todd Plate, Kevin Mancebo and I stumbled into the tattoo parlor at midnight-thirty and left 2 hours later with permanent reminders of the evening.  (Sounded like a good idea at the time)

FISHING TRIP TOMORROW IN SAN DIEGO

There are a group of 16 us from Rescue, with and without wives and girlfriends, who are taking a charter fishing trip out of H&M Landing tomorrow (Thursday).  There are several openings on the boat if anyone is interested.  This is an all day trip (5AM-5PM), going after yellow tail, albacore, bonito, yellowfin and other game fish.  Cost is just $95 per person, plus $7 for tackle rental.  If interested, call the charter directly at 619-222-1144.  We are on the Malihini, and our group is booked under Ken Smith.  The boat departs from H&M Landing, which is halfway between the track and the airport.  The Captain has advised us to bring our own ice chests, beer, water and whatever else we want to eat & drink.  Hope to see some of you there.

Hey Ron I posted the info in the news thead this morning this morning here:

####

SAN DIEGO – Parts of east Mission Bay have been closed to water contact because of possible sewage contamination, county health officials said Wednesday.

Material believed to be solid sewage debris was found Tuesday during routine monitoring. The source is believed to from illegal dumping in the bay, according to the county Department of Environmental Health.

The areas affected by closure are between the east Mission Bay boat dock and Vacation Isle; Ski Beach; and swimming beaches at De Anza Cove, Campland on the Bay, and north Crown Point.

Those areas are closed to swimming, water skiing and personal watercraft use. Closure signs have been placed and will remain until tests indicate the water is safe.

I will be heading down there in alittle while, I have not heard from anyone there if this was going to affect us.

They did say last night on the new that they had been in conversation with the race promoter.

Ron here is the answer we knew would come!!!

SAN DIEGO – Powerboat races in Mission Bay will start as scheduled Friday despite sewage contamination that has closed the eastern part of the bay to swimming, water skiing and use of personal watercraft.

“There is basically no impact on the races,” said Bart Leland, spokesman for the American Boat Racing Association Unlimited Hydroplane Races. “We're in an excellent spot” of the bay.

The county's environmental health officials started the closure Wednesday after routine water monitoring found elevated levels of bacteria that likely were caused by illegal dumping of sewage.

They have not pinpointed the source of the pollution.

Beaches could be reopened Friday afternoon if water-quality tests show the area is safe.

The areas affected by closure are between the east Mission Bay boat dock and Vacation Isle; Ski Beach; and swimming beaches at De Anza Cove, Campland on the Bay, and north Crown Point.

The races are part of the annual Bayfair festival, which runs through Sunday. More than 100,000 spectators are expected for the three-day event.

The top attraction is the unlimited hydroplanes, which reach speeds of about 175 miles mph, powered by turbine engines.

Viewing areas are Fiesta Island, East Vacation Isle, and Crown Point.
