The NJBA has given us racers the Blessing to put together a race for those who want to race. Using the existing 8.00 rules for the club.
I have been working on putting together a purse that will pay out a nice sum for the winner and runner up. It will pay 70/30.
I have $2500 so far and it will continue to grow.
I will post the sponsors soon, as the moneys come in.
The payment will be made at the track, By check.
I really hope that this will encourage all to come out and help the NJBA, As they aprreciate you as a racer.
With the new lights, this should make for some really good competition.
We also encourage any help from businesses to build our purse, Not from the racers. If the racers would like to donate small amounts, that is fine, but it is not required to participate in the class.
This will take place at Lake Ming in Sept, 20-21.
You can even run a capsule boat, as long as it fits within the rules.
My goal is to build up the purse as high as the smoking in the cove race.
It is probably not going to be as high this year, but next year is a different story.
You can also run a pro class that your boat fits into, but you cannot run TWO brackets. Rules are rules
I plan on racing this race myself, and if I were lucky enough place, My earnings will go right back to the club.
This is how serious I am about keeping the NJBA , and improving the competition.
I have 21 eight second boats from Nor Cal ready to battle.
If you would like to do the same with your class, Do it.
Also, hopefully this will some day form a co-race with the CDBA, as they have some of the best bracket racers in the country.
