I was told it was due to the timing system was set for the wrong stager start the first time.

Only one wanted to run again and according to the rulebook, they had to break the beam to get the points so they did.

The funny part is they technically DQ themselves when they ran outside the course when they turned the boat around to go back to the in ramp while the course was still green. However that was the plan from the start, they only were required to break the start beam not break the finishline beam.

Admin...Brad was told by IHBA to turn around after breaking the beam because rescue was not on the water. No DQ

Ron,

What part did you not read...

"However that was the plan from the start, they only were required to break the start beam not break the finishline beam."

you always need to do what the starter tells you to do.

michael told me they couldn't make the turnaround, and they were fine with that.  it was good to see that green boat finally making some laps - they still have some work to do though...

Just to clarify...Rescue WAS on the water, with both boats.  The decision for him to break the beam and turn around and trailer the boat at the in ramp was due to the fact that racing was done,  the road to the out ramp was stacked with spectators and racers leaving the track, and the logical thing seemed to be to allow him to leave his trailer in the water at the in ramp, turn around, and be done with it.  Had he idled to the out ramp, it he might still be trying to get his trailer through the traffic.  Not trying to get involved in a dispute here, but want those interested to know that Rescue was there, and there was a littlt bit of thought that went into how to facilitate the re-run.
