If that snake is in any way tied to the rescue sponsorship/donation funds; disregard everything; we'll eat government cheese and peanut butter and WALK to Chowchilla! WTF is the deal with you guys and snakes anyway? Why in the H would you want to even be in the same COUNTY as a snake, let alone hold one up by your head??? Someone has a freaking screw loose. BTW, I see that the only one in this picture who thinks this is cool is Sparky's twin brother in the background. Explain that!

Well I have to say that I'm very disapointed with Hos' response to our "Sponsor Snake". I guess things dont always work out the way that you hoped they would.  Duane and I were going to suprise rescue with snake tacos on Friday at lunch during test and tune.  Furthermore we were going to have Rescue head bands made from the snake skin and present them to Rescue to wear on saturday in honor of Rescue, oh well  confused.

Actually I have to admit that I'm afraid of snakes. I was about half lit at the show and shine and some guy walked up and asked if I would take a photo with his snake.  He assured me that the snake would not bite me.  Photographs can be deceiving because I was scared $hitless.  Thats why my son Aaron posted this and called it the famous snake pic.

As to our Rescue sponsorship, our balance is now at 275.00 thanks to everyone that has contributed. Again my plan is to present the money at the Mini Show and Shine.  Anyone contributing, please hook up with me then or in our pit to collect the contributions.

Our newest contributors are...

Stix 181, alias brother Vince two time T/E champion this year, Lady Rat Attack and Kurt currently running what else, "Rat Attack" in P/E and Sparky the President of the SDBA.  Thank you all and I will update the contributions as we go...

First I have to thank Charlie and sparky for helping me with the purse money. So many people kicked in, and it really showed me how many people care. I can not thank every one enough for the help.I feel really bad for my friend Paul Madill, from Austrailia. They stole about $1500 in cash from him, and his Passport. In total numbers, we lost about $6000.00. To top it off, they got the key to my trailer. I really want this person to return to my pit. The sad part about this is, I believe this person that did this is a crew member for another P.E team. We did get some prints, but proving this is another thing. Bottom line is this, Karma Kills, and bad karma is coming soon. I used to keep everthing in our pits open for any racer, tools , parts, ext. NO MORE of that. I have a completely different outlook on this. I am ruined.I want to thank Duane Sims for the extra help with the purse money, as well as Erick Sanders. You guys keep me going. And as for mr Hagberg, your speech about coming after me, I wish you the best of luck.

Joe,

I really think you should enlighten us on the information you have gathered. It sounds like you may know who did this. And as far as Hagberg coming after you. ............One runner up finish is not gonna cut it. Good luck in Chowchilla Joe and thanks for the inspection plate.

Tony

Maggie thank you and Sammie very much for the generous contribution of 75.00.  My address is at 31034 Highway 33 in Tracy Ca. 95304, the nearest cross street is Albert Lane.  If you Fed x it give them my cell number 510 915-9491, so they dont get lost again.  This puts our rescue sponsorship at 350.00.
yeah

I'm sorry to hear that you have been out of commision with the surgery.  I wondered where you have been.  I hope your feeling better and I will give you a call before heading out to Chowchilla.  Ive been busier than a two peckered goat getting my boat ready for the race.  Thanks again Jeff

As to Sparky I stand corrected, President of the CDBA...

Last call for the Rescue Sponsorship. Vince alias Stix has kicked in an additional 25.00 which brings our total to 375.00. If someone can kick in the last 25.00, we can present rescue with $ 400.00 for their Chowchilla meals sponsorship.  I will post all of the contributors toninght and be heading out in the morning to Chowchilla.  Thanks Jeff...

Congradulations to David Reswick "Suicidal Tendancies" for taking home the T/E win and to Alan Asbe "Asbe Racing" for the runner-up.

Congradulations to Jerry Garner "High Noon" for taking home the P/E win and to Allen Forsyth "Animal Instinct" for the runner-up.

I was running to fast all weekend and slowed the boat down to much Sunday morning, going out to brother Vince alias Stix in the first round. Vince went three rounds and is still leading the points in T/E.  I will try to get the rest of the bracket results from Duane and will post them.  As always it was nice seeing Duane and Mark at the race.  It was also nice meeting Sparky, President of the CDBA.

Thanks again to everyone that contributed to the Rescue meals sponsorship.  I gave about 500.00 to Hos on Saturday night after the drivers meeting. The show and shine was cancelled Friday night.  It was fun hanging out with the rescue guys on Thursday night and the food was great too.

Plumb nuts didnt run on Sunday due to cracks being detected in the struts. Jerry and his crew are great guys and had the day off on Sunday.

Congradulations to master Fin for winning the K boat races, the alcohol flat was also hauling the mail.  It was also nice meeting Billy B.  My son Aaron will be posting some photos from our pit in a couple days.  Congradulations to Sean Lipinske forthe PCE win...

As to the Lance Matty tragedy, I dont know what to say. As everyone we were devastated when we heard about the accident.  Lance was a great guy with a heart of gold and we will all miss him.  Hats off to Dave Lipinski for running King Kong's boat number and bringing Kong out to the track for display.  Dave also purchased a reef so everyone could pay their respects. If anyone knows what hospital Christina is at please contact me, 510 915-9491.

Jeff,

I thought that we had met before... (but I guess my bro only pointed me out to you a few times)
I've seen you running around town (Livermore) or driving on I580 between Pleasanton and Livermore from time to time. If you are in those areas and hear someone "honk" and wave (with more than just the "middle finger") at you, it may be me.
I will stop by at your pit and introduce myself at the next race!!!

Mike

Well it was an interesting weekend. Ended up replacing the complete lower end of the V-drive Saturday night due to it popping out of gear both passes in qualifing. I ended up the slow boat with a 8.978 which allowed me to run Jeff Vail and I thought we had him and made a rookie mistake by getting out of it at the finish to allow Jeff to beat me by .008. For some reason my distributor slid up and it starting missing during the run and found no oil pressure at the top end. I have to tear the motor down to inspect bearings. Needless to say it was a tuff weekend for us but I thought CDBA did a good job and treated us well and definitely enjoy their hospitality!!!!

Well I didnt make it to the boat bash but did manage to pick up an Ellis dolly trailer from Joe Mierkey today in Pinole.  What a guy Joe is, he not only gave me a great deal but is allowing me to pay him in three installments.  I'm just getting a little closer to being able to get my inclosed trailer.  It would be nice to attend at least one of the out of state big shows...

Joe M just bought the former Mighty Mouse Pro Mod boat and what a piece of work it is, just beautiful. For anyone that doesnt know Joe he runs TAH at Bako and is used to running 6:30s in an open boat.

It was also nice running into Joe Shelfo and Joe senior today at Joe M's place. It appears Joe is doing some capsule shopping...

yeah

Actually Vince I'll probably to be lucky to even make it to Bakersfield during September.  My finances kind of $uck right now. Ive almost completed my home projects for the year and will have to see how things go. I bought the dolly trailer to get the ball rolling for next year to try to get an enclosed trailer.

As to you my friend your still leading the points in T/E and are due to kick some a$$ at Marble Falls.  I hope that everything is alright with your motor brother Vince.  Good luck to you and have Renee call me with some updates, no exscuses...

My racing interest lately has been little Christina and praise the lord she's doing as well as can be exspected...

Fired the boat up one last time last night.  Contemplated taking it out for a hot lap but decided against it.  Everything seemed good.  Had 60 lbs of oil pressure at idle with the oil temp above 180.

I'll tell them for ya.  No the old man's staying home.  Dexter kind of kicked our A$$ all the way around.  He might try and go to the finals but that's about it for the year!!!sad   Anyways I'll be leaving around 3 or so wednsday after noon.  Should put us in Marble falls by 1 or so that next day.  Wish I could leave earlier but it's hard enough to get this amount of time off!!  Jeff I'll give you a hollar before I head out.

Hey Robert the boat definately doesnt look to wet, LOL.  Actually it looks like your riding the tail. If the boat wants to lift on the big end and you cant get out of the plate, sounds like you do need a little more down plate as we discused on the phone. Hopefully the motor is not to far back and you can get someone to adjust the plate so she'll set in the way that you want.  I'll give you a call this week and thanks for sharing the pics...

Right on Robert I'm happy to hear you got the plates adjusted. That would explain why the boat was still trying to lift on the big end. Be careful anyway with the new setup until you get used to it. Let me know how the boats rides.  Happy Anniversary...
