I dont know about pictures, but Jeff Bruns was at the top of BGF at the time of his crash. He was Jim Coles top driver, if Im not mistaken Jeff ran 149mph back in those days, on gas. He was awsome. If memmory serves me right he was racing Ray Capaldi, Ray was out on Jeff and Jeff kept flying the boat higher and higher trying to catch Ray, then it happened [at least that is how I remember it going down,I happened to be sitting down talking to Cole when the crash took place]. Your friend had sac and has always been on of my heroes.

Thanks Greg!! We had a lot of fun in those days and I have to say those were the best times of my life. He didn't make much money back then but the times were priceless. I remember when he set the record at 149. I really doubted it because it was so outragous. That record held for quite some time after his death. I miss my old buddy.

I found one photo with Dark Horse in it.  As for the Coleidoscope boat it you can tell me the number of the boat and the color I will look through what I have again.

I found one more shot that might be the Dark Horse, hard to read.

The only thing I could find with the other boat was an old Cole Boats add.  Your buddy is in the lower right hand corner.

Thanks for looking for some pictures. The first one of Dark Horse is being driven by Rick Keyes. That was his boat prior to damaging it. When he and Jeff got together and campaigned under the Dark Horse name they used Jeff's boat and relettered and numbered it. Jeff's number under Coleidiscope was 463. I have some of those old Cole  black and white ads but I looking for a nice shot of the boat racing with a good set on the water.
