Wow!!! Nice place. But................................Read this....

Welcome to the wonder of the Agua Hedionda Lagoon. This 400-acre lagoon is home to a wide array of flora and fauna and invites us to appreciate our water resources through such uses as a YMCA day camp, recreational boating, a mussel and abalone aquaculture facility, a white-sea bass hatchery, and a power generating plant. It connects us to a greater world in so many ways. Come join the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation in our work to preserve and protect this valuable resource.

Do you think for one minute they are going to allow oil/Gas/nitro/trash/ etc. ANYWHERE near this water?

Just a thought...

Jt

Well if it was anywhere beside California... oh and you left out the politicians in Carlsbad too. I rode by there today on the way to the airport. Nice place but logistical NOT a good location without major work to add spectator and pit areas. However someone is trying…

What about the channel off of Mission Bay in SD, east of Fiesta Island. It has park along one side with a Hilton Resort at the end of it, Fiesta Island on the other, and scales to about a 5500' long straightaway on Google Maps. Very protected from the main bay. We know that drag boats had became the biggest draw at Bayfest. We just need a drag race without the Unlimiteds and Offshore boats, or at least simultaneously, but with the protection of this channel. http://maps.google.com/maps?client=...4&t=h&z=15
