I am sure all the rule books are based on NDBA rules. When did 3/16" cable become the standard. I have a Calgo set up with 1/8" aircraft cable I bought at the airport and installed myself. It works very well. I have never had a problem and it steers great. I am not easy on my boat. Much more stress on the cable than just going straight. I check the cable before each trip to the lake, along with the rudder and prop, bolts, oil, prop release etc. because I know what I put it through. The cable never needs adjusting so it is not stretching. I am sure your thinking just change everything to 3/16".
I would rather buy a good vest than change all that.
Any comments on which to buy?
