Car would be much quicker, providing there is no tire spin the car would be moving forward while the boat spun the props a bit.

Yes, all true.  But it is still way cool that EKR has the fist sub 3.7 sec 1000' pass in top fuel history under race conditions.  Can't take that fact away.

Yes our humble friend Eddie is the "hog with the big nut" but just hasent realized it yet. All of his hard work and hardship has made him the most interesting man in the world, like the Dos Eequis commercial and a world champion...

Jeff ol buddy,

some where about 1.1 to 1.7 but this is a guesstimate based on how quick a car accelorates to 60' and 330' on average.



And let me again say that I am in noway trying to down play what Eddie and Russell have done. They are very good friends to myself and my family.

Just a follow-up. Speed Sport ran 3.79 and 3.80 at 1000' in OKC. That pretty much matches the car's best. I know it's comparing apples to oranges, but not too many years back, the boats were .7 to .8 behind the cars.
