i posted this somewhere else, so thought i would post it up here. i submitted it to 2 lucas folks a short time ago. any thoughts?
mr. lucas, here is what i'd like to see happen..
1. Create a Western Region Championship series, to include the three (3) Western Region National Events, plus 3 divisional races. (include western promods in this too).
Two separate, but connected schedules, that do not include "throw aways". Western racers can pick one or the other to follow, whoever has the most points at the end wins.
Schedule A would include the following races (NJBA friendly):
a. Firebird Opener - (March or April?) (Lucas National Event)
b. NJBA, March Ming race (or April; alternate month from firebird opener).
c. NJBA, May Ming race.
d. CDBA, July Dexter race
e. San Diego, September race (Lucas National Event)
f. Firebird Finals (Lucas National Event)
Schedule B would include the following races (CDBA friendly):
a. Firebird Opener – (March or April?) (Lucas National Event)
b. NJBA, March Ming race (or April, alternate month from firebird opener).
c. CDBA, June Dexter race.
d. CDBA, July Dexter race
e. San Diego, September race (Lucas National Event)
f. Firebird Finals (Lucas National Event)
I have tons of logic and justifiable reasoning for this, but no reason to write all those pages. i think this is not only doable by lucas, but would create some excitement out west, while supporting 2 clubs. also, it doesn't force anyone to make the texas tow...
thoughts???
