I don't know the details but just found out Gene Hackett passed on this morning.
According to Craig Garland (RFC) "Sad news today, we have lost another in the world of the Dragboat racing family. Gene Hacket pass away this morning, still can’t believe it. He was a great man a friend.It has been a tough year with the Dragboat family. Praying for you all….."
This truely makes 2009 a very sad season for our sport.
Our prayers are with everyone.
God Speed Gene, go and continue racing with Don and Jim!
