It is with deep regret and sorrow that I share this news.
Dan Chittenden passed away suddenly yesterday from a heart attack at his shop in Banning, CA
Dan was a racer's racer and had more than 40 years in various motorsports from stock cars to sand drags and lastly drag boats. He was absolutely the hardest working man I've ever met and a very talented fabricator. his whacky charm and insults echoed throughout the pits everyday of a race.
Dan has worked for the Speed Sports team the last few years and worked for us prior to that. There's probably not a team out there that he hasn't or wouldn't have helped. I will miss him dearly as will our sport. Please keep his wife Tootie and family in your prayers. God's speed my friend, God's speed!!!!!

This is a shocker Eddie, I got a phone call yesterday but did not realize my phone was off. I just got the message this morning when I turned my phone back on. Eddie it was great to see the two of you together in High Point.

Thanks everyone. I've loved him and hated him at times, but there will never, EVER be another person like that. We had our moments over the years and but he touched so many lives.!!!!

As you have all heard by now Dan Chittenden won his final race, Friday, August 14th.

Two T is having a memorial get together Saturday, August 29th @ their Banning Ranch/Shop.

It will be @ 3:00PM.

She wants it casual and wants everyone to wear a race t-shirt.
