Sounds like the season opener at Firebird International Raceway is going to be a fun weekend of racing. We have the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series and the return of the Monster Trucks, Unlimited Lights. Plus, ULHRA has added Jet Sprint Boats from the USSBA to the Phoenix race for an extremely well rounded and entertaining motorsports weekend. The Sprint Boats will have at least 9 teams on hand for their Phoenix debut.

I'll be spectating w/ my sis and friends along the motorhomes. Can't wait to see everyone again. Beer in red cup, I'm ready! Hopefully there will be no need to be interviewed on national TV again this race. |

Thanks, I think I milked my 15 minutes of fame into 15 days. Imagine that, Tony being all quiet?  TAF535 has been parked by the owner Kevin Felkins whose out racing go-carts w/ his son (I think?:wow  I heard Tony will be at PHX w/ Joey Grose and flattie or 2 going straight down the course. I don't know if any circle boats are going to Phx but I saw quite a few in Parker last weekend. Tony was driving Jeff B.'s SS/PS? Loud n Proud and usually following Rankin in his own boat. Tony also drove Rankin's K69 and lead nearly all heats . On Sun., the K-711 rolled  and sank w/ little damage and the new driver was OK. |

Sorry to say Jelly as it's has been for years… it’s a secret!
My list in the past has always been based on the previous year’s attendance and intended to get those who realize being upfront with team plans help promoters get sponsors along with the opportunity for teams to do the same.
The sad part now that Lucas Oil has step to the plate that game seems to still be playing when it’s most important today flood the media with information than ever. .. |

P.C. is "in the trailer" We were fortunate to have a few sponsors step up to the plate to help out. Our own Tod Thompson of Greebaums carpet supplies was gracious enough to purchase a set of heads and some other goodies so we can get after it a bit. Mark Atkinson, Steve McGartlin, desert fountain gas and Red Line Oil were also the reason for our attendance. A huuuge thanks to all that support us!!! Boats are still for sale but we're going to use it while we can! We will also have on display in the P.C. pit area the all new "California Performance"/EKR Hydro for TAH and P/M Stop by, take a look and place an order!!! |

I am in my hotel room after a day that started at 4:30 am and jusy got to the room after a hour and half waiting in line for our rental car.

Hey Cory, the info is posted under the Venue thread.
The race was stopped around 11 am when the fuelers where on the rope do to high winds. Racing never resumed and qualifiing was based from last years points for the classes that did not get any runs in. |
