As you may know Australia is experiencing devastating fires like but unlike the California fires we have had.

One of our member’s daughter has already lost everything in these fires. The vineyards that we visited on our last trip are now gone. There has been more tragedy there and many losses.

thanks Duane, death toll now at 109, but the reports keep coming in that they expect the toll to reach the 200 mark! It is unbeleivable what is going on here at the moment, so much loss of life and devastation. Places the we visited when you were here and the little town of Marysville, over 120 years old that I took Mike Isham to is now gone. I know this is a drag boat racing thread, but as Duane said that one of our members daughter lost her home in the terrible bushfires here, (death toll now at 181 and climbing) here is a pic of what is left of their home. Our prayers and thoughts are with eveyone affected by this disaster. Gaz

Gary, I hope you guys are getting some relief. I heard on the news the other day that you are in a 10 year drought. That sort of puts our 2 years in perspective.
