When runing 114 octane gas I seem to have a lot of fuel problems. On 110 I have no issues, but I have to use the fuel that is available. Here is my problem. Hard starting ( requires about 1/2 cup of fuel for a prime vs a few squirts to wet the blower).
At a idle the engine runs normal for about a minute, then it acts like it wants to run lean then returns to normal idle. Then go through lean out again. When I hit the shut off, I get a imediate shut down. The engine will not smoke at an ilde.
114 seems very "dry" it tears up o-rings, and is very corrosive. Here is my tune-up.

Have you looked into how the difference of specific gravity between the two different fuels will affect your "tune"? Also remember that spec. gr.'s for the same octane varies slightly depending on manufacturer.

Question for ya, if the specific gravity of one fuel over the other is greater (heavier) do you jet down to compensate for the difference?

Michael, Timing 28 or 30 Main start with 110 or 108 with a 160 your oil pan would be full of gas or it wouldn't even start nozzles are about right. Even a 112 main would work. What o- rings are you talking about? do you have cube metering barrell or k valve. call me an I will get you fixed up . Specific gravity don't have any thing to do with your deal. Call me an i will get you fixed up Ray Mackey 602-439-9454

I would like to thank everyone for there help. I removed the entire fuel system (from the tank to the hat). Flushed and cleaned everything and replaced all "o" rings. I am running great now.
Thanks,
Michael
