Dexter is a great place to race and the CDBA puts on a really good race, I think the fire and rescue crew is as good as they come. I hope to see a lot of you guys up here. |

As Doug said we hope to see our downsouth friends up here for the July race. Gates will open for pitting at 8am Thur. morning. There has been a change in our registration procedure and you will sign in and pay your fees as you enter the park. For all of you racers if you go to www.cdbaracing.com and download your entry forms and fill them out it will expedite your registration and speed up your entry to the park. Not what i heard as of 7-1 at 1:00PM
told me he has to pull the motor,cause of major oil leak
doesnt have a helper/towdriver and work is extremly slow for him

Sorry Duane, I am trying to put something together so I can keep you guys updated on the weekends events. It will be a great weekend if the weather report is on it should be in the mid 80's and we are looking forward to a good boat count. Going to be hard to just be a spectator as the June race was a little hard on the Superglide, as we won our semifinal round she kicked a rod out the side of the block in the lights and not enough time to get her fixed. Anybody got a spare Rodeck block hangin around.....LOL. Sparky |

Bob, "Porkchop" always brings 1 or 2 barrels of race gas and a barrel or 2 of alcohol to Dexter. See you next week.

Sean, Chris Orear is bringing one down to the race but if it is not what we need I will be in touch for sure. The weather report is still looking good for the weekend and in the mid 80's. I'm trying to get something setup so I can get results on here from the lake. If someone would think about the crowd that doesn't show up at the races because of distance, work, time off or whatever.....it would be nice to see current updates of racing like Duane and Laurie do. Nobody knows nothing unless they are there. Please get some sponsorship opportunities for them to be at every race and report what everyone wants to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Duane Bob Pizza ran a 5.52 @ 224 and change, I believe that is the fastest MPH ever @ Dexter. Bud Wilson Ran a 222.something in the "Grounds for Divorce" years ago that I think was the fastest before this. Bob's run was a pretty smooth pass. |

Gotcha. That 228 is pretty impressive considering 225 is one of the oldest records on the books. It has been legged on several occasions over the years but never backed up. |

Sorry for misleading anyone, I swore I heard 224 come out of the speaker but it was hard to hear. It was a sweet looking pass, the launch was a little shaky but once it settled down it was very smooth looking. Also congratulations to Steve Henry for taking the Pro Mod win, you guys have worked very hard for that one.

Thier were 2 records set in pro comp Pro Limited Flat 1 Tony Garrett in HOT SHOT ran a 132.90 and backed it up with a 133.26. Also Brad Parrack in SUNDAY SHOWDOWN Pro Limited Jet 2 ran a 124.25 and backed it up with a 125.26 Good job guys. |

Great turn out thier were 70 boats a couple broke and were not put in the pairing. Thanks to CDBA for a copoints race with IHBA. To bad NJBA would not steep up to the plate and have a copoints race with other organizations on the west coast maybe they could get more that 30ish boat at a race. Please think about it. Its only a hobby. |

Mark, sorry I didn't have everything together so I could send updates for the race but when I have to spend the amount of time that it takes to put on a race let alone one with a T&T that we have never done before for some unknown reason I just flat ran out of time. I want to thank everyone that made the trip to Dexter from IHBA and hope you all had a good time. Even though it will be late I will post the round by round results tommorow and hope we will have everything set up for Lakeside. After 5 days at the lake I am ready to get some sleep and I can tell you now that with the boat being broke I have come to the general conclusion that being a spectator while a lot less stress is only half the fun.
