If I was the owner of the boat, my driver would have to be somebody from the Fresno area, with a fuel license, and some pretty substantial experience. Like Duane said, a world championship would be ideal. And Mark my words; he'd have to Work with the Team.
But...I don't own the boat and haven't talked to Jay or any of the crew guys, so your guess is as good as mine. |

I talked to Greg today and correct Loose Cannon has no plans at this time to be at either race but will be in Lubbock this weekend to test and tune.
It was also stated that parties involved with the Chowchilla race has not return their calls.
On another note I receive email today that Outlaw Fuels and to quote “We have secured nitro methane for the rest of the year”.
So the show continues!!! |

Paul, if you for whatever reason cant make a race, I would be honored to shoe the rescue boat for you.

I dropped my trailer off at the track on Thursday and also got the boat teched... For the first time in 8 years I left the track and came back home, not running test and tune nor staying at a motel because money is so tight right now. Its nice to live so close from Tracy. I guess were lucky to have 4 fuel boats showing up at the last 3 races. I heard after today's driver's meeting the boat count was 93 with some more boats expected to roll in Saturday morning. Will be back in the morning with possibly 4 qualifiers in each class. Good luck to everyone... |

iq wants to thank all the race teams that showed such class and showed up at the Chowchilla race. Hopefully your pre race efforts to convience all parties that this event and others like it are a necessity to the local business owners in this small town. I hope some of you will take the time to email or contact the city manager and let her know how much you appreciate her efforts. This race has been floundering for several years and is very close to going away, next year will be no different unless a date is set and wheels are set in motion now. On a side note it was great to see old friends, I,m off to Altamont Speedway we run a day show on the 1/2 mile see you all Sunday. |

The TAF final was Ermshar vs. Hiedeman. Heideman took the win but didn't back up the 179.72 mph pass he laid down in the 1st round. |

Nightmare ran 179.72???. UNBELIEVABLE. That has to be the equivalent of a TFH running 260+. Too bad he only ran a dismal 169.68 in the final.  Congrats. That team always puts on a show and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
The TAH final was also very dramatic. Congrats to Kebin and all I can say about Kent Price is, COWBOY UP. I don't think that boat touched the water but 4 or 5 the whole 1/4 mile and still ran a 5.71.
Way to go Trick Pony getting the runner-up in a field of 18 boats. Just a little antsy there my friend.
We were very sorry to see the damage on Eddy's boat. They finally had it dialed and it was going to make a great final. Whiskey ran a 5.19 and clicked it off at 1000 feet. |

It was one of those Cinderella weekends for me Vince. I'm always very lucky at Chowchilla. I got by the the first round, my competition had broken springs second round for a legal single, third round my competition had a dog blow out in the gear box on the line, then I had a bye into the finals. 18 boats in our class and I went five rounds huge red light in the finals. I lifted several times on the big end when necessary but my tuning was very consistent when I ran out the back door. Congrats to Ralph Richarson for back to back wins.
On a real positive note Vince I think I found out whats causing my inconsistency problems on the lights. I may confirm it real quick if I can raise some money to go to Marble Falls. Thanks to all the champs that have been giving me advise on the tree, Vic Espisito, Stan Tweedy and Bob Prigmore.
Some other good news is, its time for a motor freshen-up this winter and I may consider stepping up into P/E where you should be... running.

Hey Jeff, Thanks alot. It was great that it was us in the final, it couldn't have been a better guy in the other lane. You had me pretty nervous though when you were out there and my boat hit the chip and I could not catch you, then I thought I really screwed up on the light. Like I said at the awards, who would have thought when we were having a beer on Thursday, it would have been us in the final.

Thank you Vince, and all for the congrats. Winning Red Bluff was more cool than I could have ever imagined but then to come back and win Chowchilla is way too cool.
