I am planning to switch over to running a 10-71 blower and (2) dominator carburetors. The motor is currently a 540 bbc tall deck that is naturally aspirated with the (2) dominators, a jessel belt drive and a crank trigger, and the distributor is the msd crab distributor.
Since I am new to blowers I have some question that I hope someone has some experience with.
I have been told that if I use a Blower Shop supercharger (10-71) with their offset I can run a conventional distributor, can I run the crab distributor with their regular manifold and without the offset, or does it really make any difference? Also, is there any problems running a crank trigger with a blower?
The motor will remain gas and no intercooler and used in a V-drive flat.

A crank trigger works well with a blown application.  Also, unless your blower is larger than a 10-71 you shouldn't need an offset at all.  Mine is an 8-71 and a friend races a 10-71 in the same class but no offset is on his set-up.  We run MSD-7al2 boxes.  I you go to a mag then you may be talkng an off-set.  Have Fun!!!
