i purchased a 75 sanger bubbledeck runner 18.3,and have some questions. the boat was raced once in 76 and put away until now. i wouldn't call it a heavyweight but it's not a 400lb mako either. i haven't had a chance to way it yet so i'm not sure. i'm reassembling it to race it once again but have some questions about placement. the plates are 10 in long and 61.5 in wide. the strut is 32 in from the end of the plates. the rudder is 17 in from the strut. and it has 5/8 runners. the v-drive is a 10 degree and 89 in from the transom. the motor was originally 32 in from the transom and was around 500 hp. the boat is going to get a 1200 hp blower motor that i assembled . I wanted to set the motor at 36 in but wasn't sure. i know everything is not as far forward as it should be. if anybody could help me with motor placement, prop, etc to help the boat handle the power it would be greatly appreciated. thanx

i have had em all especially this hull and it is a great boat, but it is too safe for racing ! it is too heavy and well made! I can tell you that you have a 11 second carburated boat on gas and a 9 second blown boat on alcohol . cpool piece and good lucksmile
