Anyone know the size of a Rob Steele capsule? length, width, and hidth where the v-drive cutout area. I'd like to see if it would work in my outrigger without modification. Thanks Dan

How are you? Saw you were looking for some measurements.

Capsule size:

Height at front 9 ½" sloping up from floor 2", so a total of 11 ½' from flat.

Width at bottom front 19"

Width at front top 19 ½"

Width at rear bottom 23 1/4"

Width at 5 ½" up for stringers 27 5/8"

Width at 14" up, at v-drive relief 29 ½"

Can add bubble for large v-drive if necessary

Width at 17" up, widest point 31 ½"

(this is the width required to use a real F-16 canopy)

Length at v-drive relief 64 3/8"

Overall length 73 5/8"

Overall Height 36"

Inside width of cage at drivers shoulders 23 5/8"

Height can be changed to accommodate tall drivers,

Both with taller capsule and 3 seat sizes.

I can send you a detailed drawing if that would help.

       Hey e.r.c. you ought to jump in and BUILD you're own capsule TOO..!    that should thin down you're team of deep thinkers...just kidding. Steel makes a good capsule..but (you will) have to cut you're boat to get it to fit...the Kasse deal fits with no work....almost)
