well were back with the 'guess who' daily forum. Can you name the two boats (should be easy) and two drivers behind the wheel of these awesome BAH from the 70's. 1st correct entry recives a pot of beer at the local pub with me when you get here!

Here's another guess who. Special thanks to Admin for fixing up the upload capabilities. We need drivers name and boat name, to win the beer prize, circa 1970's

OK, guess we have had plenty of time to work this one out, with not much luck, so better give you the anwser and we move on to another 'Guess Who'. The answer was Vince Vicedo driving 'Defiance' in the old Blown Jet class back in 1980 in a NJBA race at Bakersfield. So from the ADBA souvenir programme from 1988 comes this one. Need boat and drivers name for the beer prize!

   I think the world finals in Bakersfield occured on the first weekend of May 1979.Not sure.My dad raced Comp Jet at the time.I was 13 and loved nothing more than going to the boat drags.Kenny West was my Hero.

I have boxes of photos from my dads boats , Sangers and Brendella, Hondo boats .  His boats were Jokers Wild, White Mist, Shakey..  Oakland is bout 15 mins from where we lived in Moraga at that time. I can pull out the pics and records and  reel movies. Back when i was still in diapers, Blown Fuel Flat Bottoms were a wild ride.  I remember him blowing up motors and running to local Mopar dealer and buying a few Cudas and Chargers and Challengers scrapping the  whole car except for motors.

What a waste  to toss out the classics  like that. LOL

I rememberthat boat name .  My mother when i was young  was very active in APBA if i recall correctly VP and President of APBA.

Gail Remy drove the BGH "Sexsation" for owner Ken McIntosh for a short span. Glen Peacock owned the Badlands UBFH that Gail also jumped into. Both hydros were Howards.  Ken McIntosh  joined the NDBA  150 MPH Club driving the Badlands.The Badlands were the former UBFH called "Nitro Express" driven and owned by Donnie McCormick out of Oklahoma. Donnie also owned and campaigned at the same time, the BFH " Out a Sight" with Dwight Bale driving.  Hey Mark, I may be wrong but on the burn out at Long Beach when the Crucifier splashed,  if my memory serves me, that was our boy Gene Palmer at the helm and the old man on the beach was really upset. The boat was destroyed.    Back in the early  to mid 70's, it was  gas or fuel, alcohol was not experimented with until the late  70's
