The July 19th & 20th race at Dexter Reservoir will be a Div. 1 and Div. 6 combined points race for the eliminator classes from Pro Mod to RR. Unfortunatly we will not have the PCE class as we do not have a dual countdown clock. Our RR class is broke up in to 3 classes and at this point in time we are trying to figure out all of details on the point distribution. All IHBA memberships will be accepted so
you will not have to join CDBA to race only if you wish to compete for Div 6 points. Dexter is a great site and if you are going for Div 1 points this will count towards your 50%. For more info Email me at RoseSparks@aol.com

Duane the boys set up the new course the weekend after Redbluff and it went up well but there were some glitches and I started to worry. On Friday the course went up well and the glitches were back so the worry turned into bad heartburn and a clinching in the lower region. Saturday dawned bright and beautiful and getting the boat ready was real hard with my thoughts on the course instead of the pits and the multitude of calls that had been made to Race America came up with a solution. Changed 1 little part tweeked a few knobs and not only did the system perform flawlessly it out thought most of the tower personel. My hats off to Tony Rian and the boys at Race America their dilegence paid off for us all.
The race it self went pretty well with the usual insanity in the pits but the program was almost to fast. When we were coming down to the final rounds turnarounds were quick with out the usual delays from adjustments on the course but for once I didn't mind busting buns knowing the course's running good enough to host the July race with out delays. Only problems were the size of the numbers on the clock which were hard for some to see (I told Brookhart I was going to put one of those motorhome magnifiers on his capsule) but that is being remedied with larger clocks before July. Bummer was Mother Nature threw a nasty wind at us and the races were called for driver saftey before we got the finals in. Joe Shelfo came up to play and I apoligize to him for his last ride as it was one of the last and it was rough. I should have all the results tonight or tommorow and I will get them posted. Sparky

Sparky, No need to apoligize for anything. My dad and I had a blast racing with the CDBA. We accomplished exactly what we needed to, therefore, everything was great. It was great spending fathers day with my dad, in one of the nicest drag boat sites I have ever been. Thanks again for the exceptional reception at the drivers meeting. I have never, in our years of racing, had anyone personally thank me for entering a race. My offer still stands, if you want the shroud fabricated for the led lights, you can fax me a drawing of it and i build it free of charge, and ship it out. Thanks again Sparky, and all the other CDBA members, rescue, and in and out ramp people. you guys were alot of fun! How bout that yuccu?Big Smile

No problem Duane. I need to add that Jeff Green actually got the best reaction time with a .013 so I will steal the trophy back from Tim and get it to Jeff. I
apologize to Jeff for the error and remind him he owes me a cold one for the whining I'll have to endure from my Primadonna.....LOL Sparky

Jeff, We had a good trip to and from. Thanks again for having us.I did have a good time. I will say, I am not to thrilled with the water conditions and hope that we do not have a repeat of the last two rounds. I could also do without the double round deal, as it did nothing for me. I was taking a stab at a perfect 8.00 and was told on the rope that we were going to single round eliminations.I think We have found all the glitches on this new boat after the dexter race. I cant wait to come back to dexter. I will try to bring as many people up to race as possible. I think Darrin Christle may make the trip, and I am working on Brian Pinkney. see ya soon Joe. Thanks ANDY!
