SDBA is please to announce that we have secured a sponsor for CLOSES to ET. We started this last year with a guaranteed pay out at all SDBA races this will not be available at the co-points races yet but we are working on it. There are no conditions for this $1,000.00 dollars a race bounty. That is right that means there is a Total of $7,000 up for grabs as of now. This is open to all ET brackets with any MEMBERSHIP recognized. We are not FINISHED YET! Stay tune for further releases!

Only 7 weeks to Waco. There will be a dump station for RV provided Sunday morning by the Porta-Jon service. This service is by reservation so please contact myself or Gary Payne. Test and Tune will be on Friday from 10am til 5pm. Ramp help will be short handed so please bring enough crew to help load and unload your boat. Saturady we will have plenty of help but will always accept more . There will be Golf Carts available for the weekend. These will be rented out Friday morning at 8am on a first come first serve bases. Don't forget about the the closes to ET pot $1,000 guarentee payout and there will be a reaction pot worth winning. These pots will only apply to Saturday and Sunday not test-n-tune.

Last year they had a good crowd and alot of interest was generated by the show. Please either contact DeLaine at delcar333@hotmail.comor myself at pgf489@aol.com. Thanks!

Instead of being classified as "...those that only take up ramp space...," maybe we can now take up space in the line at the $$ BANK $$ on Monday morning like the guys who slam glass bubbles over their heads before the green flag drops! |

Gary, has anyone ever tried selling a calcutta on saturday nite, based on the results on Sunday, that could be a fun and profitable deal for the racers, I know if I was still running I would sure get in on it, just call it added incentive.

Only one week to Waco. Barryman Products will be the sponsor for the BBQ prepared by Round Ron and crew. We are working on a band also for Saturday night. Bobby Joe will have fuel on site starting Friday but he did not get his NOS station so make sure you bring plenty for the weekend.

Last Friday night, Arnold Oil Company, the parent company of COBBS AUTOMOTIVE, had a live radio remote at the Heart of Texas Speedway just outside of Waco. Mike Sorenson (ProMod #357 "Plum Crazy"), Doug Maderer (Pro Eliminator #178 "More Reach") came up from Austin, while Alan Wichkoski (Sportsman Eliminator "Jus Gettin It") from Waco were on display. Since my boat didn't have a motor together yet, Peter Gehan (Modified Eliminator #412) loaned me his Cheyenne to display.
Thanks to those 4 guys for their help.
Hope to see you all in about three days! |

Gary, I wore my Plum Crazy T-shirt yesterday. It’s one of my favorites. Our safety director said that if I continue to wear that shirt that I have to pass out hearing protection at my office door. Waco is going to be a great event. Wish I could make it but I’ll keep an eye on the forum for updates.

Sorry to hear that Billy, but you're not the only one who won't make Waco---the team of Travis Williams and Dustin Nesloney were involved in a wreck around 5am in Beeville enroute to Waco---the tow truck was a total loss along with the enclosed trailer and the hydro---they had just built a new motor and changed up the boat with hopes to run the 8 second bracket---no one appears to be injured other that bruises that should heal with time---best of luck to all the racers---be safe and keep the shiny side up---ronnie williams Hookin' Bull BGF #441

Ronnie, that is terrible news about Travis and Dustin, hope they are doing ok and hopefully they had insurance on the rig and boat, that was always a major fear when I was hauling all over the country.
