I just got off the phone a little while ago with Phyllis Ermshar. She is getting ready for the 16th annual auction to help raise money for the racers and families that have suffered injuries and worse. She asked if I would challenge ya'll. Melton has donated a flat and a hydro pendant for this cause. Let's all chip in and donate to a very worthy cause to help your fellow racers and their families. Thanks and God Bless! ~Debbie

OK, I got my call today from Phyllis Ermshar, wanting us to donate a flat and a hydro pendent for the 2003 RESP Auction....Duane, are you going to set up the auction on the forums again this year?

It is time to send in those donations to the RESP annual action fundraiser. Please send any items to Phyllis Ermshar at 5013 Arlington Avenue, Suite B, Riverside, CA 92504. Thanks, Jo Singleton |

How about starting a new topic for this years auction so it doesn't get confused with last years.

Thanks for the number, Duane! I finally talked to Phyllis today! What a super lady! Jo~~~Are you making another quilt this year????? I haven't really heard a lot about the upcoming auction. Not a lot is being posted in here this year. Please keep in mind the terrible accident that just occured with Greg Gilday, as well as Todd Haas'. (not to mention the others in the past) This is for a very good cause and it will be the 17th annual RESP Auction! Please help make it a good one! Thanks!!

Does anyone have a list of items up for auction? If so, we could put in an absentee bid as some of us can't be there. Just a thought.

The auction, barbque & raffle all seemed to be a great success. As usual Phyllis worked her heart out all weekend long. I think Don says he is lucky if she leaves him a trail to the bathroom at the office the week before they head to Phoenix. She knows how to collect some really great items that generate great sales. This year she started the silent auction earlier & there were lots more bidding on the items i.e. more money! She did not have the final figures as of late Sunday as there were some who hadn't picked up their items yet. Very special thanks to all that donated and purchased items. Very special thanks to all the help setting up, cleaning up, & helping collect after the auctions. At times it seemed pretty hetic but everyone kept a postive attitude and worked through the mess. The Waco boys talked to RESP and will be working on an auction to take place at their race in June. They already do a barbque on Sat. night and think this would be a great oppourinity for the people that don't make it to Phoenix to help donate to such a great cause. Thanks to all that helped in any way. Nancy Stacks |
