Just learned that Bitz Boats had a fire at his shop, everything burned to the ground, from what I have been told, everything is gone, Boats, molds, everything, HE HAD NO INSURANCE |

I LOOKED AT THE PICS HE E-MAILED ME THAT DAY AFTER IT HAPPENED AND ALL I COULD SEE WAS LEFT WAS THE FRONT HAFT WERE HIS OFFICE WAS. RICK HASN'T RETURNED MY E-MAILS AFTER THE PICTURES HE SEND ME. I HOPE NO ONE WAS HAVING HIM BUILD THERE BOAT OR HAD PAYED HIM FOR ONE, YOUR S.O.L.

Whoever is spreading rumors about this fire at Bitz Boats is not totally accurate. One end of the shop did burn. He lost some cars and car molds and a few boat molds but he still has lots left and is in the clean up process. Anybody who knows Rick knows he will never quit. And as far as insurance, you should know what it’s like trying to get it for a fibreglass shop. So, he would appreciate your support at this difficult time. We all know he is one of the best boat builders around. Give him your support, not your criticism. Anyone can email him at eagleind1992@hotmail.com. He is very busy with clean up from the fire, but will definitely answer questions within a few days. |

I've known Rick for alot of years, It may take awhile but I'm sure in time you will get your product, I did have him build me a hydro, it did take longer than he said BUT I DID GET IT,  Bob

sure to use all the phone #'s, he has alot of #'s, if you need some others, e-mail me and i'll give you some more. he finished my 502 last summer after 18 months but it is the best hull i've ever raced, straight, smooth and fast.

From what i've heard from my connections in canada, he still has the molds for building boats but he was working for another boat builder to build up financing to keep his great boats alive. |
